I could have told you that

Here's one big reason for moving.

I think there should be more and better carpool resources/incentives, expand BART, and double the bridge tolls. Even triple them. It's single-person cars that are behind the congestion - make it too expensive for people not to find alternatives.

that will never work. the reason is simple... people do not like other people. as long as roads exist, people will always opt for the 'single-person car'. expand whatever carpool resources you want, charge them out the a$$. but until you present an option that allows person to sit quietly by themselves in their own private comfort zone, they will drive...

true, to a certain extent. but then let them pay a higher premium for it. it should not be so cheap and easy for people to kill the planet.

I don't care if people drive or not. I don't care if there's traffic. I just wish that we had more ways to bypass the traffic (trains and stuff). It seems that other civilized nations have figured this out, except for us, and I just don't get it.
