Swimming backstroke outdoors long-course at night in the pouring rain is surreally awesome. Until one is brought back to reality by the recollection that one's towel and all one's clothes are strewn on an outdoor poolside bench ;)

The rain never stopped a determined swimmer!
I LOOOOVE swimming in an outdoor pool in the rain. I just don't like the getting-in/getting-out part.
And in ref to the end of that last post...to that I say "PSSSHH." Just because some of us don't have a "Mrs." on the front of our names doesn't mean we somehow messed up/failed/are not living fulfilling lives or something. I'm of the opinion that if you're going to get married for life, well then you damn well better be sure of it and what's the rush? If you've got the rest of your life, then who's in a hurry? Why is everybody so concerned with other people's business, anyway? Maybe if people took more care to be concerned about looking at their own lives our divorce rate wouldn't be so high. I'll get married when I please and thumb my nose to anybody who questions it.
Society and their damn pressures.
Not like you said you felt like that, I just get on my soapbox anytime that subject comes up. :)
(p.s. I also had an incident recently where my entire family thought somehow a trip to Hawaii meant that I was getting engaged and the rumor spread like wildfire. It was so annoying.)
