Dear Peet:
I give up.
I have given you so many chances to be more than just another cookie-cutter coffee chain, but I can't do it any more, I can't handle the constant disappointment.
So I surrender.
My standards are officially,
sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssadly,
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllowered.

Well...
I still have to go to Peet's. Except on weekends when I can go to Cole or Rooz in Oakland, but weekdays, it's Peet's. Sigh.
I have just lowered my expectations in an attempt at self-sanity-preservation. I will no longer be shocked or upset if they don't get simple things right :(
aren't there other coffe shops in Oaky/SF? I would think they'd be just swimming with little independent shops.
I've never been such a fan of peet's. True, it is worlds above Sbucks, but they're coffee is just a wee bit potent for my taste.
it's just so ... darkly brown ... (what, mahogany?) in peet's.
never feel at ease there.
coffee can never be too dark, too brown, too potent...
i love peet's coffee, but then, i just drink--coffee.
